Today I visited the LIFELOVEMUSIC Clothing website to see how it was doing. I realized that our blog was pretty lacking so made a mental note to write a blog. I added it to the list of about 100000 other things I “need to do” this week. And then it got me thinking. Why do I need to write a blog? Why am I doing any of the things that I think I so desperately need to get done. Life is busy if we allow it to be. But the question is, what are you living for? At the end of your life we will be judged on how we have loved. Not on how much we got done. How much we achieved. What kind of car we drove. What type of job we have. We will be judged on how we loved God and how we loved others. And by loving God, I dont just mean the warm fuzzies for the old man living up in heaven. The Bible says, if You love me, obey me. Our obedience is a good indicator of our love for God. If we say we love God and hate our brother, then we’ve gotten off track somewhere. Truly loving God by putting our faith into action in our every day lives.
I want to encourage you guys to stop. For 5 minutes. Turn off your phone. Log out of Facebook. No TV, music, noise. and just evaluate your life. If even the thought of that scares you, maybe you need to do it more often.
But seriously, still everything around you and evaluate your life. What do you spend your time doing? What are you giving your heart to? What is valuable and precious to you? Imagine you just died and your looking back on your life story. What kind of story did you tell? Was it all about you? Or did you give yourself to other people? was it a story boring and spent watching other people live an adventure in a movie. Or did you take risk in your life? Did you step out in ways you’ve always thought would be great but always felt too scared to do? Be radical. Pursue God with your whole heart. Be obedient when you feel Him lead you to do things. You will never regret it. Remember this life wont last forever. One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Gladiator. “What we do in this life echoes in eternity”. Think about it. What will be echoing the rest of eternity because of your action. Will it be Love? Will it be obedience to God? Or will it be mistakes? Wasted time? Regrets? If that, then stop now. Go to God and ask for forgiveness for living the way you have. And then simply start living for Him. He’s a gracious God and is so quick to forgive. His heart for you is Love. Deeper than we can imagine. And He has a purpose for you in this life. We just need to tune in and find out what it is. And once you do that, you realize why you were created. To love and serve Him.
Sorry for my ramblings, I hope this is encouraging to you all.
We Must Be The Change
Benjamin Judah

This is amazing. You should do this more often. That was heart-felt and also heart wrenching.
God is crazy awesome; i really needed to hear those words, though tough to own up to they might be, then i see on facebook that you posted this. just what i needed, reality check from God. thanks Ben. thank you for letting God work so clearly through you to get to people like me.

<3 sheila.
thanks for this, Ben. i really needed it tonight.
AMEN BROTHER!
My life is so unbelievably busy right now – I’ve got a 3-month old son, am working insane hours to try to make up for the loss of my wife’s income so she can stay home and take care of him, and am trying to be an active participant in my relationship with the Lord. It’s been pounded into me (by prayer, my pastors, my growth group leader, my wife, my boss — everyone!) that I need to become less busy – I just have no idea how. Thanks for the reminder that I need to listen and let God tell me how to make a way!
The vision is this. We must be radical, free radicals to worship God in everything we do.
We lost so much time trying to do things our way, trying to do everything alone. We think we are strong only because we pay some bills at the end of the month or take pride in material pursuits.
We are marked by God, our mission is to spread love to the four corners of the earth, we are touched by the Holy Spirit, we must act by faith.
The Lord’s plan.
Micah 4: 6-13
“In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will gather the lame, I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief.
I will make the lame a remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.
As for you, O watchtower of the flock, the stronghold of the Daughter of Zion, the former dominion will be restored to you; kingship will come to the Daughter of Jerusalem. ”
Why do you now cry aloud-have you no king? Has your counselor perished, that pain seizes you like that of a woman in labor?
Writhe in agony, O Daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you must leave the city to camp in the open field. You will go to Babylon, there you will be rescued. There the Lord will redeem you out of the hand of your enemies.
But now many nations are gathered against you. They say, “Let her be defiled, let our eyes gloat over Zion!”
But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, they do not understand his plan, he who gathers them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
“Rise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion, for I will give you horns of iron, I will give you hoofs of bronze and you will break to pieces many nations.” You will devote their ill-gotten gains to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
We are the change!
ben love this and your right we do need to turn off all the stuff and just think were do we wont are live to mean not just to use but to other as well
there are day i dont even have time to think let alone just sleep
maby should not be making this comment and go and just think about what i wont my life to mean
Wow.. I feel like that was really what i needed to read/hear today
Thank you. My life has been so busy lately, that i think your advice of just shutting everything off and listening to God and the things that he is telling you is defiantly the thing that i need to do. Thanks again Ben >
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, Ben… I needed the reminder. I think we all need to take time occasionally to just shut off all the noise and listen to God… listen to Him speak truth into our lives. We so often get trapped living our lives for things that don’t really matter.
amen! …. you speak from your heart … actually you remind me of a character on the left behind series called Tsion Ben-Judah … a converted Christian who speaks to the world on a webside …. =)
AMEN! Ben…we can see that you wrote what God asked you to do…the words flowed from your heart, and that’s amazing!
the words you’ve written here…they completed my day…God is faithful!
My pray is for GOD to keep blessing you…and for you to keep being a blessing…!
Ben, all I can say to this is…AMEN! and thank you so much for being a wonderful, outspoken vessel for God and his word!!
Thanks Ben! It was nice to be reminded of that. You are completely right man. It is SO easy to get caught up with things such as Facebook or TV or our phones, whatever. It is so easy to lose focus on God. When yo think about, technology is fantastic and there is nothing wrong with it, but it should never take control of our lives. God Bless man! WE MUST BE THE CHANGE!
aww!!! ben, ur so sweet… this is really eye-opening!!!
Thanks Ben that’s really awesome!! This is the exact message my church has worked so hard over these past few years to get out to everyone. My church has a really big dream to be the change we want to see in the small community I live in. We as a church want to see a change in not just our community, but above and beyond all over the world. I think about how there’s people in other countries that know God and have nothing and I wonder how they are surviving because I think about how I couldn’t live that way. I have to stop and think though that they’ve been living that way all their lives and they’ve never had to deal with all the millions of distractions here in the U.S. I realize that those people may not have much, but they’re so much joyful inside than anyone in America will ever be because they have the ultimate gift…God in their hearts. They’re free from all the lame distractions we have. Sometimes I wish I lived as they do because maybe then I can pursue God full force without worrying about what I’m going to wear, how my hair looks, or what song I’m going to listen to. Anyways, good message!! I definitely wrote down every single question so i can remember it.
Ben, this was very well written. I totally agree! There’s just nothing better than sitting out under a star filled sky when most are sleeping or watching a new day full of opportunities awaken. These are the quiet times I like to spend with my Father. Love that from the heart writing!
Prayers,
~Lis
Ahh, I’ve been thinking about this so much lately. I tune people out all the time and I’m always thinking like, jeez I’m only 14 but I spend so much time doing stuff on the computer and pushing off school stuff that I have to do and I haven’t done half the things I still want to do. It’s bugging me that we won’t be remembered by everyone in this life lately. I’m gonna live my life to the fullest, we only live once and I don’t want to waste my chance at living.
Ben,
You are exactly right. I accept the challenge. Thanks for being a Godly role model, for writing awesome music, and for being a huge part of my musical inspiration. You Rock!

Very well spoken Ben. Couldn’t of said it better myself. Every now and then people need a dose of reality. Time goes by so fast and we forget about God. We just need to stop our busy lives and see God’s beauty. In the trees, the sky, all of creation around us. Take it in. Get that awe factor of God. I’m always fascinated with sunsets. Those are one of the most evident things of God’s existence. I’ll catch myself staring at one and just become amazed at how awesome God is. I get chills up and down my body from just looking at the sunset alone. No way that happened by accident. Had to be God. Nothing else in this world will give you that feeling and make it last. God is real! Thx for the encouraging words Ben. Really uplifted me bro!
