Digital Content Specialist

The primary role of our Digital Content Specialist is to work closely with our Digital Marketing Director in implementing creative solutions and analyzing strategic plans to grow our clients’ social media and digital audience for key demographics.

What We Can Expect From You

Experience & ability:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field—or equivalent work experience
  • You are an excellent listener and communicator
  • You are skilled with crafting well-worded and targeted social media content, digital ads, and monitoring results
  • You enjoy the research component of the digital marketing world and have a good understanding of SEO best practices
  • You are skilled in writing, editing, and proofreading content
  • You are committed to doing your job to the best of your ability and are open to feedback with the purpose of improvement

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • Specialist level experience with Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Facebook ad manager
  • Experience with web publishing, basic HTML, and content management systems like Hootsuite
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for visual content creation
  • Nonprofit experience

What Your Day Might Look Like

Practical application of skills:

  • Creating, writing, editing, and updating content for company social media platforms, websites, blogs, marketing materials, and other platforms
  • Assess SEO performance for a client and provide recommendations to the Digital Marketing Director for improvement
  • Research current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter and then contextualizing your findings for the Digital Marketing Director and/or the client
  • Engage with consumers on client social media platforms, responding to questions or complaints, and promoting company initiatives
