Meet Kirsten: Our New Copywriter!

This past week we welcomed Kirsten Torrado as our new Copywriter. Kirsten was born here in Franklin County and has spent most of her adult life in the Greater Philadelphia area. Kirsten has a background in ministry leadership as well as a diverse portfolio serving business owners through brandscripting and digital marketing. Join us in learning a little bit more about her!

What are you most looking forward to in this position at C&C?

“I’m looking forward to using my passion for writing to help companies grow. When I saw Cross & Crown’s messaging around partnering with people who want to make a difference in the world I knew it could be a perfect fit. I’m excited to help move the needle for purposeful enterprises and collaborating with an amazing creative team around work that matters.”

What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?

“I’d love to write a book. I’ve started the process but finishing can be hard. Book writing is a new venue that I’ve enjoyed exploring and is developing my skills in a more challenging way.”

It’s almost fall! Where has summer gone? Which season best represents your personality and why?

“Definitely summer! I’m an eternal optimist and tend to look on the sunny side of life. There is good to be found everywhere, even in difficult circumstances. I’m also an ENFJ (I love personality type tests!) Most people would find me warm and outgoing with a heart to help others.”

Tell us about your most favorite trip that you’ve ever taken.

“My favorite trip was to the island of Puerto Rico. The beaches, the food, and the culture have me hooked. I can’t wait to go back.”

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

“Mangos! Mango everything. I once tried a tree-ripened mango, picked only moments before I ate it, from a food truck on the side of the road in San Juan. I’m still chasing that moment. It was pretty sweet.”

Are there any TV series/music genres/etc. that you’re into lately?

“I love historical dramas and Downton Abbey has been one of my favorites. I love reading stories, biographies, and watching shows that bring historical figures and eras to life.”

Do you have any hobbies or “secret” talents?

“Gardening is probably my ‘hidden hobby’ because those who know me have noticed that I can barely keep a houseplant alive. But, there’s something about having my hands in the dirt, sun on my face, and watching something grow organically that is grounding and relaxing for me.”

Anything else we should know about you?

“I’m a bit of a sci-fi geek, from Tolkien to Star Trek and a few others in between, and most of my family is too. I love that we can geek out together over the latest Star Wars release or Marvel movie. Family makes everything better!”
