Grand Illusion Hard Cider company is a stand-out brand in the food and beverage industry. Nestled in the Cumberland Valley region of South Central PA, Grand Illusion offers customers locally-sourced hard cider produced and bottled in-house at their Carlisle, PA storefront. Grand Illusion is not only a cidery, but it’s also a restaurant, an event venue, and a must-stop location along the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail. When you stop into Grand Illusion you’re sure to have an experience that is both flavorful and magical.
Inspired by the style and showmanship of old magic posters and the old-Hollywood vibes of the 1930s, co-owners Chad and Andrea Kimmel wanted to create a tasting experience like no other. The cider they produce is as unique as the tasting room that features a variety of their own private label ciders, a rotation of local PA beers and wines, and whimsical tasting experiences including Magical Mondays.
The Kimmels came to us with a desire to translate Grand Illusion’s unique approach into a brand video that gives people a taste of what makes their product unique. Grand Illusion is committed to making cider magical and they wanted a brand video that captured the essence of that magic.
Cross and Crown traveled to Carlisle for three days to capture all aspects of the production process. Alongside their unique brand personality, we wanted to showcase their commitment to local ingredients, sustainability, and integrity of the process from orchard to bottle. To that end, we created a storyboard outlining our goals and went on-location to capture the shots we needed to reinforce the message. When the shooting was complete, we edited and produced the video, managing every detail from concept to completion.
The final product looks so good you can practically taste it. We are proud of this brand video that showcases the sights and delights of the full Grand Illusion experience—including the opportunity to bring a case home with you to enjoy in the future.
