Background
A Partnership
For Community
King Street Church, one of the largest churches in Chambersburg, aimed to re-imagine its brand identity and revamp its website to cater to both members and visitors alike. The objective was to create a brand image that reflects the church’s distinctive downtown location and present web content in a user-friendly and organized manner.
Our design team created a contemporary brand identity that aligns with King Street’s physical space and integrated the new brand into their online presence through a custom WordPress CMS website.
Branding
More Than
a Location
King Street Church reached out to Cross & Crown to design a unique brand identity that was fresh, modern, and could be expanded into their physical and digital spaces.
Residing in the heart of downtown Chambersburg, King Street Church desired to have a brand identity that embodied both their name and location.
By merging a map pin with the letter “K,” Cross & Crown’s design team created a distinctive and original icon that effectively represents King Street Church’s brand. Additionally, the team developed a branding guide that includes direction for brand elements and assets, such as color palettes and typography, to further enhance their overall brand image and performance.
Web
A Place For Everyone
Following the rebranding of King Street Church, we collaborated with their creative team to strategically map out a new website. The goal was to design a website that caters to the needs of both new visitors and members, while also featuring readily accessible in-house media content and serving opportunities.
Using our newly established visual guidelines and standards, we designed a tailor-made website that showcases integrated video, a full events calendar, and a page builder that enables King Street’s creative team to construct and manage their own content.

A Platform
For Serving
From its inception, King St. Church has remained highly involved in serving the local Chambersburg community and needed a platform to house opportunities that would connect local ministries with individuals who wished to serve.
Our team designed and developed a web app that allows King Street Church’s leadership, church partners, and community leadership to post their own serving opportunities. The platform features the ability to register volunteers online and communicate with volunteers through messaging and automated email notifications.
Visit SiteWe must be a challenging client – we brought strong voices and opinions to the table with a huge list of very specific wants for our website. The conversation could have easily produced a confused, cluttered mess. Cross & Crown was able to help us identify what was most important, while incorporating multiple levels of functionality. We were impressed that the team delivered a website that serves our church family with a beautiful, user-friendly format.
